Antennas, how many do we need?

Recently presented in the UK by Peter Song and David Barker, this technical paper explores evolution of the wireless standards and access technologies that are driving antenna innovation. Base station antenna sharing for multiple access technologies, or even operators, is now an attractive and viable proposition. Mobile handsets will see smart cognitive systems switching to different operator bands with only a single antenna.

Explore these developments in antenna technology to discover that maybe the answer isn’t more antennas, but more innovation.
