Major 3G Operator Achieves More than 50% Capacity Increase and Eliminates Blocking While Improving Customer Experience

A major 3G operator achieved more than a 50% increase in measured capacity by implementing Quintel’s Sectorization in the Vertical Plane (SVP) solution. SVP is a key application in spectrum and antenna limited sites for network operators to increase capacity. The operator wanted to deliver high-end services and mitigate spectrum limitations quickly and at the lowest cost to meet demand. Quintel enabled the operator to eliminate blocking and increase cell capacity by over 50%. Consequently, customer complaints disappeared.
